WHY IS THE EASTER RABBIT SO ANGRY?
I had this question from a friend. She saw my fresh Easter picture. With arms crossed he looks angry – or maybe hurt. The poor rabbit is not taking part in the celebration of the eggs.
This is a mystery – an Easter Mystery!
I know, I should not reveal the solution of the mystery, but as there is no time to write a crime novel, I take a short cut and tell you what happened. May be I will write the story till next Easter. Then you have forgotten all about it, and the story will change as it develops.
OK – this Easter the rabbit is cross! He spent months to produce magical eggs and find the best hiding places. He was so busy he did not notice that eggs started to fall from heaven. Plop! Plop! Plop!
The kids did not even have to make any effort to find them. They only had to avoid getting them in their heads.
Mild gifts from «above»? Not far from the truth.
2011 IS THE YEAR OF GARDEN MAGIC!!
The first signs have appeared! Take a close look at the daffodils this Easter. In Norway we call them Easter lilies! Tiny colorful lumps hidden as secrets start growing inside the trumpet, and as all other seeds they fall to earth when time has come.
Ready for kids to pick!
«All this effort hiding my eggs» the Easter Rabbit is snorting. «Kids nowadays, they want to get result for free! Next year….well, I will find a solution. I promise! I do not lose ground – I will take revenge.»
So, stay tuned! There will be another Easter – in a years time.
Till then, enjoy my Easter drawings.
May be you had great plans – for Christmas, sending cards to everybody you appreciate.
I know, time is passing so quickly, and suddenly you run out of time. A new years card could have done the job, if just January did not slip away so soon.
I do not know about the rest of the world, but in Norway we have a saying «Christmas lasts till Easter».
Very comforting for those of us who did not «make it in time».
There is still time to send your best wishes – for this Easter (or the next…).
A package of four double cards (2 motives) with envelopes size 13×13 cm,
NOK 185,- (plus postage for letter).
All you have to do is sending an email to elly@ellyp.com
and tell me if you wish one or more packages.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!
What a Wonderful Candy Parade, Elly!
thanks Sara, enjoy!
Du är bara BÄST !!!
anki, tusen hjertelig takk! Det varmer!!
I like that in Norway they are called Easter lilies, and your description of the «tiny colorful lumps hidden as secrets start growing inside the trumpet..».
Enjoy your Easter celebrations in all forms.
gracia, thank you – Spring visited us this weekend. I hope she will be staying!
